JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE TO TURN THE WATER BACK ON

IT IS!

I left it nice and large so you can see the details. Now, I might not get this right. The concrete pit is about 2 Metres x 4 Metres. More has to be poured around the outside, where you can see the reo mesh. Inside the pit you can see a big black pipe, that’s all that is left of the original pipe. The rest (including the damaged part) has been left behind!

The water is now coming via a white pipe (not the visible one- it is for hydrographic purposes – no don’t ask me LOL)

But it was the pit that was the delay. They still have to tidy up loose ends and permanently connect the new pipe (under the mud) to the remainder of the old pipe, close to the surface in Cressy Street (in the pit)!
