Alleged animal cruelty charges laid, Thornlands

 

Cleveland police have charged a man with unlawfully killing chickens after eight chick were allegedly located deceased at Thornlands on June 22.

Police will allege the chicks were killed in their coop which was located in a suburban Thornland’s home on the morning of the 22nd.

That afternoon police arrested and charged a 35-year-old local man with unlawful killing (chickens) and trespass.

He is due to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on July 23.
