Drug and weapon charges, Macleay Island

On August 28, police from the Capalaba Tactical Crime Squad executed three search warrants on Macleay Island.

Three people were charged with nine offences including possession of dangerous drugs cannabis and MDMA.

During the raids, police located and seized cannabis with an estimated street value of $10,000.

As part of the raids, police also seized a taser and two restricted knives.

A 21-year-old Macleay Island man was charged with possession of a dangerous drug x 2 exceeding schedule, possession of a weapon and possession of drug utensils.

A 43-year-old Macleay Island man was also charged with possess utensils.

Both men will appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on October 1.

A 31-year-old Macleay Island female was also charged with possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a weapon.

She will appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on September 24.
