Assault: On May 13, a 47-year-old man from Macleay Island was charged with common assault on a 16-year-old and due to appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court on June 11.

On May 24, a 31-year-old man was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm of a 50-year-old man.  The male was further charged with public nuisance and fail to leave a licensed premise and will appear at the Cleveland Magistrates Court on June 25.

Macleay Island Police are investigating two further assaults on Macleay Island.

Street and good order offences: On May 24, a 51-year-old man from Macleay Island was charged with Public Nuisance at a licensed premise and fail to leave a license premises to appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court June 25.

Domestic violence: Macleay Island Police have investigated seven domestic violence incidents.

In an emergency call the police on Triple Zero (000).

Traffic: A 44-year-old man was issued a Notice to Appear for drink driving and is due to appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court June 3.

A 35-year-old man from Macleay Island was issued a Notice to Appear for unlicenced driving and is due to appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court June 17.

Macleay Island Police have issued 11 infringement notices for vehicles parked in the trailer car parks at Macleay Island Jetty.

The OIC of Macleay Island would like to remind the community to read the parking signs to avoid being issued a parking infringement.

Macleay Island Police would also like to remind motorists to check the registration of their motor vehicles and also the condition of their vehicles to ensure safety.
