Pamela Hart’s books The Soldier’s Wife and The War Bride were inspired by her grandfather’s service as an ANZAC.

We have added to our collection of Tim Winton’s books with the purchase of The Shepard’s Hut and Tracker

In the non fiction collection we have purchased the controversial insight into the Trump Whitehouse –  Micheal Watt’s Fire and Fury .

The Tattooist from Auschwitz by Heather Morris – a dark fairy tale, should be an interesting read.

Three books on Nursing – Bush Nurse, Nurses of the Outback and Australian Midwives have also been added.

Some clients will remember Patricia Catton who was a volunteer in the library and a member of the Macleay Island Writers group.  The Forgotten Woman is Book 3 in her Gerygone Series and has been don

ated to the library.

The Macleay Island Writers Group recently published an anthology of short stories that can be purchased from the Library.

We would like to remind parents, children and teens that there are many Junior and Teen books, DVDs and CDs on our shelves.  You are welcome to browse and borrow free of charge – especially if you are bored during the School holidays.
