Russell Island State School community sculptural project

Over the last few weeks students, staff and families at Russell Island State school have participated in a community sculptural project.
Using recycled materials we wove two large fish including eyes made from old fan covers!

The fish were then hung on the school fence to coincide with National Recycling Week. Not only did student learn to random weave but also the value of turning what is considering rubbish into beautiful art!
