Sample Picture of Stolen tools

Facebook post

“There is a man who is trying to sell tools and item’s on our island’s buy, swap & sell pages! This man was also allegedly caught in a shed on Russell island and when chased dumped a bag of stolen tools. Some of these belonged to my partner’s step father and were clearly marked with his old business name. They have now been returned… but PLEASE be very wary when dealing with this person!!!!!!!!!!”

Facebook post: “The Men’s shed on Macleay was also broken into, and a heap of tools stolen, wonder if connected. ?
I had my tools stolen from Mark Road when I was living please be careful about buying second hand

Editor’s note: I spent 15 years in the power tool and industrial supply industry (sort of like Trade Tools). Please be aware of the significant risk in handling stolen power tools, They may well be ‘hot’ in more ways than one.
A faulty cutting disc travels at 80 metres/sec that’s 288 kph. It can literally cut a finger or even a hand off – all it takes is a crack.
Chisels and saws, the manual ones, may be blunt or chipped, cut power tools can KILL!

Of course, always contact the Police if in any doubt:
